Marketing Automation Specialist - Maternity Cover
Are you passionate about creating inspiring customer journeys, turning data into tailored communication. Do you thrive when you can connect systems, people, and strategy to deliver exceptional digital experiences? Then we’d love to welcome you to our team!
As our Marketing Automation Specialist, you’ll play a key role in executing and evolving our marketing automation strategy across all digital touchpoints. You’ll be the go-to person for our marketing automation platform (currently Agillic) and our Customer Data Platform (CDP), ensuring seamless integration with CRM and other digital tools. Your focus will be to design, build and optimize automated journeys that span from digital channels to the in-store experience - supporting both brand engagement and lead generation.
In this role, you’ll work closely with internal stakeholders across marketing, digital, retail, and IT, as well as with external partners and platforms. You’ll drive projects from planning to execution and be instrumental in aligning marketing automation with our broader digital ecosystem.
This is a temporary position based at our Aarhus office in Risskov, reporting to the Digital & E-commerce Director.
What you’ll be doing
Marketing Automation Strategy & Execution
- Drive the execution of marketing automation initiatives and customer journeys based on behavioral data and lifecycle triggers.
- Translate business goals into automated campaigns—from welcome flows to loyalty programs and reactivation efforts.
- Own and maintain our marketing automation platform (Agillic), including campaign setup, testing, deployment, and optimization.
Customer Data & System Integration
- Ensure smooth data flow between systems such as CDP, CRM, and our website, optimizing the customer view and campaign targeting.
- Collaborate with our external agency and partners to maintain and develop our CDP setup (e.g., Tealium or similar).
- Manage and secure the data model across platforms to ensure accurate audience targeting and measurement.
Cross-Channel Collaboration
- Align marketing automation with other digital platforms including paid media and the website.
- Act as a strategic and operational advisor to internal stakeholders, offering recommendations and best practices.
- Serve as the primary contact and liaison between internal teams and platform vendors/agencies.
Performance & Permissions
- Monitor performance metrics such as engagement, conversion, and retention, and ensuring continuous improvement through data-driven insights.
- Lead our permission and consent strategy, ensuring compliance and optimal lead capture through all digital entry points.
What you bring to the table
- Min. 2 years of experience working with marketing automation platforms and CRM integrations.
- Hands-on experience with customer journey mapping, campaign flows, and lifecycle marketing.
- Knowledge of Agillic or similar platforms is a plus.
- Experience working with a Customer Data Platform (CDP); knowledge of Tealium or similar tools is a big advantage.
- A relevant degree in Marketing, Digital Business, or similar.
- Strong understanding of the interplay between marketing automation and other digital channels (e.g. social media, SEM, web).
- Proactive, structured, and collaborative - able to turn complexity into clear actions.
What we offer
- A pivotal role where your insights and ideas will shape customer engagement across markets.
- A collaborative digital team that values performance, creativity, and innovation.
- Access to industry-leading platforms and tools in marketing automation and data management.
- Opportunities for professional growth, autonomy, and making a tangible business impact.
